Verizon to Provide Advanced Connectivity for Fans and Venues Across U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Verizon has signed on as the official telecommunications partner for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup, set to take place in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This partnership, the first between FIFA and Verizon, will see the telecom giant providing essential connectivity services across all tournament venues. Verizon’s broadband, wireless internet, and mobile services will keep fans, players, media, and partners connected throughout the event.
With existing infrastructure already in place at many NFL stadiums, Verizon is well-prepared to meet the high demand for connectivity during the World Cup. As the largest mobile provider in the U.S., with nearly 115 million subscribers, Verizon will help create seamless experiences for everyone involved.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized Verizon’s role in bringing fans closer to the action, stating that the company’s network will unite fans, players, and media during the 2026 tournament.
Verizon’s involvement doesn’t stop there. The company will also serve as the “tournament supporter” for the U.S. during the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Verizon plans to offer unique fan experiences, including meet-and-greets with players and exclusive giveaways.
This announcement follows another major FIFA partnership with Bank of America, which signed on as the official global banking partner for the 2026 World Cup, further solidifying the tournament’s global reach.
