About Madison Square Garden
Madison Square Garden (MSG) is a venue that needs no introduction. It’s the oldest major sporting facility in the New York metropolitan area, as well as the oldest arena hosting games in the NBA and the NHL. MSG has five floors and can accommodate roughly 20,000 people, depending on the type of event.
While currently known for larger-than-life concerts, basketball games, ice hockey games, and WWE events, Madison Square Garden used to be famous for its boxing matches. Champions like Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, and Rocky Marciano have all put their reputations on the line in the the MSG ring. That includes the 1971 heavyweight championship “fight of the century” between Ali and Frazier, which saw The Greatest’s first ever defeat as a professional fighter.
Every year, Madison Square Garden hosts more than 200 concerts and sporting events. This is good news for any business looking for a memorable place to entertain clients or employees, as there are over 2,000 club seats, 80 luxury suites, and 76 private boxes that all offer top-tier sports experiences.
