Monumental Sports Teams Up with TikTok for Multi-Year Partnership

Washington Capitals to Debut TikTok-Sponsored Road Jerseys and Celebrate 50th Anniversary with Unique Fan Engagement Opportunities

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) has signed a three-year partnership with TikTok, making the app the sponsor of the Washington Capitals' road jerseys and the presenting partner for the NHL team's 50th-anniversary events. The deal also includes arena signage and programming across MSE teams like the Capitals, Wizards, Mystics, Capital City Go-Go, and Wizards District Gaming.

The Capitals will debut their TikTok jersey patch on September 24th in a preseason game against the Boston Bruins. TikTok will also sponsor the Capitals' road games on Monumental Sports Network and the "Capitals Road to Success" radio feature during away games.

MSE President Jim Van Stone emphasized that the partnership supports a unified platform, spanning multiple teams, venues, and MSE’s media assets. Financial details were not disclosed.

This is TikTok's first NHL jersey sponsorship, adding to its sports marketing portfolio, which includes partnerships with the NHL, NFL, MLS, WWE, UFC, MLB, and other major sports entities. MSE did not comment on potential impacts from a 2025 U.S. ban on TikTok but stated they will comply with all legal requirements while continuing to engage fans and deliver value to partners.
