Frequently Asked Questions
What is ticket management?
Ticket management is the way in which corporations automate, centralize, fulfill, and track their sports and entertainment ticket inventory. Companies acquire tickets in three ways: sponsorship, season ticket purchases, and ad-hoc purchases made through ticket brokers.
What is TicketOS?
TicketOS is a Web-based "software as a service" (SaaS) that allows a corporation's tickets to be loaded in and managed from any PC anywhere in the world. TicketOS also has a service component where we can manage your physical tickets, load your ticket inventory, fulfill and ship the tickets, and provide customer support to your users. Lastly, TicketOS can be the sole Web-based source for your ad-hoc sports and entertainment ticket purchases.
Why should my company care about ticket management?
Here are four distinct reasons:
- In today’s regulatory climate (Sarbanes-Oxley, NYSE and NASD gift and entertainment regulations, etc.), companies must report and audit in detail what their employees are doing with ticket assets.
- Measuring utilization rates for season tickets and sponsorships is critical to measuring ROI against marketing spends.
- Managing ticket assets manually is time-consuming and error-prone.
- Your employees need the best visibility possible into your ticket programs. Most companies stash tickets in drawers and manage them with spreadsheets, which don’t provide the visibility that executives and salespeople require to utilize tickets effectively.
What are the different TicketOS product categories?
The TicketOS ticket management platform provides maximum flexibility for any organization wanting to automate management of its ticket inventory. We offer a choice of three products:
TicketOS Full ServiceSM: RazorGator will manage your physical tickets, including fulfillment, shipping, and customer service, out of our U.S. offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Phoenix.
TicketOS Self ServiceSM: For companies that prefer to manage their own tickets, we provide a self-service feature. You get all the benefits of TicketOS, but without the ancillary services. You load your own inventory into the system, handle fulfillment and shipping, and support your own employees.
TicketOS ConciergeSM: TicketOS Concierge allows you to cut costs via ticket purchase discounts, plus gives you exclusive access to a private network of tickets offered only to TicketOS customers, while still retaining all of the control and compliance features that TicketOS offers.
Will my company's data be secure?
Yes. We host our TicketOS application in a SAS70 Type II facility with all of the latest software and security controls. In addition, the TicketOS data center is access-controlled to ensure that your data is not only monitored 24/7, but also secure against unauthorized access. We encourage discussions with your IT department for specific questions.
Are my tickets secure at your location?
Yes. As part of the core business at RazorGator (parent company of TicketOS), we house and fulfill millions of tickets on an annual basis. As part of our TicketOS Full Service offering, we take physical control of customers’ tickets and manage them from our secure vault. Our facility is protected by secure card entry, dozens of surveillance cameras, and a 24-hour security team.
What other ticketing services do you offer?
- Access to any sporting event, concert, or theater event in the world.
- The ability to sell your unused tickets to your employees via an easy-to-use, Web-based application.
- The ability to buy and sell tickets through a private corporate network.
Can TicketOS be used if my company only wants to buy new tickets?
Yes. TicketOS Concierge can serve as your company’s Web-based ticket procurement system. You get the advantage of automated reporting, optional automated approval authorizations, and all the other visibility and control benefits of TicketOS.
How long will it take to launch TicketOS at my company?
Typical implementation takes 3‑8 weeks depending on the complexities of your ticketing workflows. For TicketOS Concierge alone, only 2‑3 weeks are necessary.
How is the software and service priced?
The TicketOS pricing and licensing scheme is simple and easy. For Full Service and Self Service we charge a one-time, per-ticket fee when you load your tickets into TicketOS, and that’s it. You may have as many users access the system as you desire, as many “power users” as you desire, etc.
For Concierge, we discount the price of the tickets you purchase and pass that along directly to you. There is no “ticket fee” for Concierge tickets.
Does the software have reporting capabilities?
TicketOS has countless reports built-in such as ticket inventory reports, financial reports, utilization reports, venue usage reports, and many more.
Is the system customizable so the Web pages will have our corporate look and feel?
Yes. Your site will feature your logos, color schemes, etc., so your employees feel they are buying from an internal corporate site.
Does the software have managerial approval processes?
Yes. A robust approval workflow is available. Many customers utilize this feature to control costs and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policy.
How do you renew our sponsorship and ticket management agreements?
RazorGator has relationships with almost every North American team and venue. Typically, your company will authorize each venue to work with RazorGator to manage your tickets, special event notices, declaration notices, and any other notification from the venue. If you choose the Full Service option, we will work with you directly to renew ticket sponsorships and season tickets, keeping in mind the best possible ROI for your company.
